Commander, Marine Corps Installations Command/Assistant Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics (Facilities)

Major General Kessler is currently assigned as Commander, Marine Corps Installations Command and ADC I&L (Facilities and Service Division). A native of Mountlake Terrace, Wash., he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant from the University of Washington, Seattle, in June 1980.

Previously, Kessler assumed command of 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II MEF on May 25, 2006. From January 2007 to February 2008, he deployed the 2nd MLG Forward as part of II MEF Forward and MNF-W in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In April 2008, he relinquished command of 2nd Marine Logistics Group and assumed the duties as Director, Manpower Management Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Quantico, Virginia. Departing M&RA in June 2009, Brigadier General Kessler assumed command of Marine Corps Logistics Command on 29 June 2009.

In July 2011, he relinquished command of Marine Corps Logistics Command, Albany, Georgia and assumed the duties as Assistant Deputy Commandant for Installations and Logistics (Facilities), HQMC. Upon activation of a new command on 1 Oct. 1, 2011 Major General Kessler became Commander, Marine Corps Installations Command and ADC I&L (Facilities). General Kessler was promoted to his current rank on 11 August 2010.

He holds advanced degrees in Military Studies from Marine Corps University, an MS in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and an MS in National Resource Strategy from ICAF.

2012 Parade Participants

Opening the parade will be the Ft. Carson Mounted Color Guard, the Grand Marshall accompanied by Wounded Warriors, Gold Star Wives & Gold Star Mothers & families followed by Military units with their color guards and vehicles.  The second division will have major sponsors & Veterans Service Organizations, and the third division will have all other entries in the order in which their entries are received.  Listed below are the online registrants.  Mail in entries will be added ASAP after July 13th. The official Parade orders will be posted herein 1 week prior to the parade and will be updated daily.
